Our Request for Consideration Form sets the groundwork for a successful partnership. This form will provide the information we need to begin. You will be asked to share information such as work history, education level, financials, business goals, and more. We will review your qualifications and determine if you are a good fit for our franchise.

Road to becoming a successful franchisee in an early education franchise

This will be a very important part of the decision to become a part of the Montessori Kids Universe brand. You will meet one-on- one with seasoned executives as well as the support and preparation team. You will learn about the full variety of options, programs, and resources available to all of our franchise owners; have a tour of the school and understand thoroughly the MKU brand and opportunity.

Get Pre-Qualified for Financing

During this step you will be introduced to our trusted lenders to discuss your financial abilities and responsibilities of buying an MKU Franchise. This is an early part of the process; to ensure you will be able to meet the important financial requirements of this venture.

Phone call with Founders and CEO

Communication is key and we believe in clear communication from the very first step. This conversation will allow us to understand your intentions as well as your commitment to our ideals and business practices. Your qualifications and past experiences that make you an ideal candidate for franchise ownership will also be discussed. We will share our expectations and determine if you are good candidate for the MKU model. Together, we will ensure that you have the foundation for success.

First Step Agreement and Securing Your Territory

We will send you a Franchise Disclosure Document. You will sign and date and return the Receipt page. It is very important to read this document carefully. Owning a MKU franchise is a complex process. The information you find in this form will help you be sure of your decision. If awarded the franchise, we will be securing the First Step Agreement.

Once payment is received, an experienced representative of MKU will identify geographic locations, research the competitive schools in the areas; current enrollment and if a waiting list exists. We work through our commercial leasing department to assist you in the search for space, including identifying the average commercial leasing rates per square foot in the areas of interest, reviewing zoning codes, licensing requirements and assist you in establishing the school’s tuition rates and annual calendar. We will assist with question in the state’s licensing guidelines for opening in your area.

Securing Your Territory

If awarded the franchise, we will assist you in searching and selecting your territory. At this time we will also confirm all financing pre-approvals are in order, a business plan is prepared through our preferred lender; specializing in SBA financing for the franchise.

Hand Off to Real Estate Team-Selecting Your Site

You will meet directly with our experienced team of real estate professionals to find the perfect location for your Franchise. All sites must meet minimum approval requirements of Montessori Kids Universe. Meeting with a real estate broker will begin after the signing of the First Step Agreement. You will learn about the site selection process; how to identify an appropriate site, as well as all the elements needed to make it a successful one. Our hands-on; local support is second to none. We will ensure that we find you the best site possible for your MKU location.

Sign Your Franchise Agreement

Now that your site has been chosen and approved, you will sign and return your Franchise Agreement Document with the payment of your franchise fee. We will sign and return a copy; and you are officially a member of our MKU team!

Construction and Design

We will be with you every step of the way; coordinating with architects, suppliers, contractors, and more to make the process as smooth as possible. You will have the opportunity to personally meet with everyone involved. We will work together to ensure that all quality standards are met with the optimal opportunity for success. We will connect you with a team of professionals that have been pre-qualified to work with you on your new MKU location.

Franchise Training

We offer a very detailed training class educating franchise owners on the hiring process, financing, advertising, design, and construction of their new Montessori location. This is a huge opportunity to get off to a successful start as a Montessori Franchise owner.

Pre-Opening and Ongoing Training

  • Review of licensing guidelines, staff/child ratios, and floor planning regulations to assist our franchises in obtaining their childcare license along with optimum utilization of space (for higher income).
  • Use of our nationally based commercial real estate agents to assist in searching for suitable sites for our franchises.
  • Identification of community demographics and best locations to support successful schools.
  • Our national placement network that helps locate certified Montessori Teachers with the highest standards to staff your school.
  • Approved Lenders to provide financing for your project, if needed.
  • Assistance in establishing an effective marketing and enrollment campaign.
  • Hands-on support during the month prior to opening your school and opening day assistance.
  • On-going support through quarterly visits to ensure your school is benefiting from best practices.
